My disability insurance expertise has developed over the course of my career in the life and health insurance industry. My practice is national in scope and cuts across all industry lines including: banking, construction, distribution, energy, insurance, law, manufacturing, medical and dental, retail, and technology. The design of multi-life supplemental individual disability insurance programs integrated with a foundation of solid Group LTD coverage is a specialty. These programs typically provide eligible employees with strong individual policies which are distinguished by favorable pricing, underwriting concessions, and a customized, simple enrollment process.

The process is detailed, consultative, and collaborative and begins with an analysis of the existing Group LTD contract. For example, is there language that could be modified to put the insured in a better position in the event of a long-term claim? Often, the analysis reveals contractual features and/or language designed solely to limit benefits payable. Next, I negotiate for better pricing and language. Finally, alternatives that address gaps and shortfalls in the current coverage plan design are offered.
